In fact, a large component of the pro-Israel lobby is composed of gentiles. The range of active support for Israel extends from Democratic centrism to neoconservatism to Christian fundamentalist rapturism. The Christian Coalition, for instance, claims to represent over 2 million people across America, and its position on Israel is one of unalloyed support. See, for instance:

I frankly doubt that the US state is in the possession of a single lobby over any policy; US support for Israel may arguably exceed its strategic interests in curtailing Arab radicalism and nationalism, but it isn't about to be pushed around by a relatively tiny country in the Levant and its noisy gaggle of supporters. As soon as US interest in maintaining Israel disappears, that $3bn annual supplement will probably whither, as will diplomatic cover and support.
