Isn't _every_ country unique, if only by definition?

It's true, however, that capitalism's spread encourages a deadening homogeneity. (If it weren't for geographical and cultural differences, the whole world would be becoming "flat," with the same damned WalMart and McD's everywhere. And cultural differences could fade...)
