The "economy," quantitatively speaking, comprises the total of consumable or investible goods and services domestically produced. The 6% figure is surely a gross underestimate, but that aint the point. The point is: telemarketing not only contributes nothing to that total but is really an annoying *disservice* and would be counted as negative in any objective system of economic measurement were such a system to exist.
