11. Untitled short. A lone Arab of unknown nationality (played by a John Malkovich clearly upset with being cast as such) apparently engaged in mundane activity is suddenly killed in what appears to be a random explosion. His death (which turns out to have been caused by a missile launched by a regional or imperialist power) goes largely unreported in the American media. And that's almost it for the action. The film closes with a swarthy graduate student of indeterminate ethnicity standing in Union Square holding a solitary vigil to the blownapart Arab. He's eventually driven to flight by a mob composed of drunken frat boys, ultra-orthodox Yeshiva students and Protest Warriors who cry out "moral equivalence!" and "Islamophile!" as they give chase. Extras Marc Cooper and Michael Pugliese stand off to the side in obvious befuddlement.
