Marubeni, Others in $390 Mln Dubai Monorail Deal

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp. (8002.T: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday that it, Hitachi Ltd. (6501.T: Quote, Profile, Research) and Obayashi Corp. (1802.T: Quote, Profile, Research) had won a contract to build a monorail system in Dubai for $390 million from Dubai-based developer Nakheel.

The monorail system is planned to start operating in December 2008.
