I am monitoring reader's reactions to the NY transit strike on the BBC. The prevailing tenor is that 'these workers are too greedy demanding $50k salary' albeit there is an occasional sympathetic posting. That is a stark contrast to the readers'' responses to a wildcat British Airways solidarity strike a few months ago, which were mostly sympathetic to the striking workers.
Seems like the USers have thoroughly internalized their bosses value system - $50k is too much for the worker, $20m is just about right for a CEO or investor.
