Evolution does not tend toeards "higher" forms of life, whatever those are. It tends to towards successful adaaption. The most successful adaptations appear to be microvbes. The idea that ebolution is progrsdsive in sone sense in a 19th century myth -- not shared, incidenrallt, by Darwin. This is bio 101, Sj Gould explained it a million times.

Soeey, Chris, the general theory of relativity does explain the "mechanism" of gravitation. Toyr understanding here is a littkle under 100 years begind thew timews. For a relatively easy introduction, try Russell's The ABC of Relativity/
