This creates some social conflict with people from the Caucasus. Georgians, Armenians, Ajerbaijanis have a self-reliant aggressive and macho culture. So behavior that is accepted in, say, Georgia as self-assertiveness is perceived by Russians as being a self-important asshole. Ehen you get mass migration northward, as in the past decade or so, that creates problems!
