BANGALORE: Will the global technology company Hewlett-Packard (HP) have a person of Indian origin heading it? There is a strong possibility, feel senior executives at India’s leading technology companies.
The hunt to fill the top slot at HP is on, following the abrupt resignation of Carly Fiorina, former chairman and CEO. The company has named Robert P Wayman, its finance head, as the interim CEO.
Speculation is rife on the possibility of Vyomesh Joshi (VJ), presently executive vice president of HP’s newly-formed imaging and personal systems group, making it to the top.
Indian IT company managers think that VJ has a good chance of succeeding Ms Fiornia. Mr Joshi’s engineering background, his considerable work experience at HP and his superb track record makes him a front-runner. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1018760.cms
