Given that the neocons in the Democratic Party are indeed arguing for a more conservative cultural politics, it makes sense to create intellectuals ammunitions against their agenda, demonstrating that facts are actually at odds with the way they self-servingly analyze the politics of working-class white Americans, including born-again and evangelical working-class white Americans among them.
It may be the case, though, that those who don't recommend voting for Democrats can welcome the Democratic Party turning further to the right in cultural as well as economic politics, based on illusions rather than facts. -- Yoshie
