I only have my own experience as a guide, and the activism that preceded the election here (Saint Helens, OR, county seat of Columbia County, pop. 10k+) was ABB democrats 'moving on'. I got invited to a couple of poorly attended, and poorly prepared events. As a newcomer here I was pleasantly surprised by the low level of obvious bush support, but disappointed that there were no visible anti-war groups. When I exchange comments with many of the folks that I encounter I'm encouraged by their expression of disappointment in the direction of the USG. But again, it seems that they have no organization through which to express these feelings.
