My 2 cents:

Proposal #11 - revive the spirit and practice of mutualism: establish credit associations offering low-interest credit, home or education loans; establish resource centers helping to establish cooperative services (such as child care, health care, retail, cleaning, plumbing, car repair, catering, vacation facility networks for working families, etc.) that offer job opportunities outside the corporate sector and provide low cost services to working people; create mutual insurance companies operating on a not-for-profit basis; establish cooperative affordable housing for working families.

There is no reason why unions cannot promote mutualism - it is not as adversarial in its appearance as strikes or lobbying, but kicks the business right in the balls by creating an alternative.
