Also...pre-revolutionary development was important (e.g., the Cuba
vs. Haiti comparison), but holding on to good development numbers
hasn't been easy over the last few decades. The number one proof of
that: Argentina, which had incomes near U.S. levels 100 years ago,
and now doesn't.
