Doug, Doug, Doug:

You are conflating what I'm saying on your *discussion* list with my practice as an anarchist organizer. Discussion lists are where people talk about issues, exchange ideas, make arguments, learn new things, and sometimes get into a good scrap. The tone I use as an anarchist organizer--who works with different kinds of people, ranging from liberals to libertarians--is much more laid back, quiet, thoughtful, and constructive. Other people have thanked me for my ability to be diplomatic. I'm a good listener and people will tell you that I don't dominate meetings.

I'm sure that Liza ran across a few John Wayne anarchists. I've run into more than a few John and Jane Wayne liberals, socialists, and progressives. Are we talking about people's quirks and personalities, or something essential to being an anarchist?
