I have a DVD-Audio player which sounds slightly better still than regular CD but selection is limited. Hopefully I bet on the right horse and SACD doesn't become the multi-channel winner. For music listening speakers are without a doubt the biggest part of the picture for most people. Really good speakers make even cassettes sound decent. I listen to pretty much anything and everything except contemporary pop or country and rap/hip-hop but 90% of what I own is on CD. Old recordings reissued on CD like Django Reinhardt's stuff sound much better digitized now than they ever did on vinyl.
