I should formulate a satirical velcro theory about why activists on 9-11, the OKC bombing, Downing Street memo (the newest magic bullet to generate a mass movement), and Diebold machines gravitate towards each other.

Activist Leuren Moret is one of the most notorious exaggerators of DU dangers. The most reputable authority on the democratic left is Dan Fahey, now a doctoral student in environmental science at UC Berkeley. Fahey, a Gulf War vet, has been writing on DU for ten years or more, and has himself received Project Censored awards for his work. Ironically, during the past year he has been asking Project Censored, with no success, to revise or correct its recent awards for inaccurate DU articles by Leuren Moret and Stephanie Hiller.

I particularly recommend his recent paper, "Emergence and Decline of the Debate over Depleted Uranium, 1991-2004," 20 June 2004. It includes the quote, "The prize for the most outlandish claim about DU to date goes to activist Leuren Moret." He also singles out the Uranium Medical Research Centre as an unreliable source.
