so, assuming that this source is legit, Ahmadinejad may be as bad as one our US leaders? Given the way that the Ayatollahs have set up the system, isn't that to be expected? Theocracy leads to a system where the scum rises to the top, no?

Is Rafsanjani any better? Michael, was he your candidate?

BTW, I still haven't seen any apologists for Ahmadinejad on lbo-talk. All I see is Yoshie's analysis of why people voted for him, which is very different. Maybe I missed the presence of the "we love Rafsanjani" faction of the Islamic Fundamentalist Bloc.
