more meanderings from the Bradich 10 Point Plan. In case you haven't heard it lately.

When one reviews history's most pivotal events, it becomes apparent that few realize the historic nature of these events as they occur - even those in which they are themselves immersed. Well into the Civil War, and even after its conclusion, few realized the fundamental historical transformation that conflict would bring about. Such is the historic global conflict against Islamofascism. There are only two possible outcomes: they are destroyed, or we are destroyed.

Budget deficits? National debts? Such are for the green-eyeshade boys at Treasury to ponder. Did we spend too much money to defeat international communism? Does it matter? The good guys won. Unless, of course, you think the good guys lost, in which case we don't have much to discuss.

<....> Yes, we are a "country of immigrants." To the extent that this is anything more than a platitude, though, you will notice that the first word in that phrase is "COUNTRY." Countries are sovereign. Countries have the right to determine who may become citizens and under what conditions they may do so. At this time we are engaged in a war for our survival with Muslims; not Russians, Vietnamese, Jews or Italians.

But independent of that, WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE PEOPLE RIGHT NOW! Yes, when the country needed cheap labor, we let others in. But right now, we are awash in Mexicans, Indians, and all manner of castoff Asians, and we simply don't need them. This doesn't mean we hate them. It doesn't mean anything, other than what a factory means when it leaves vacant the space beneath the "Help Wanted" sign in its front entrance: "Don't call us; we'll call you."

On going after the media:

There has been no other time in our history when major portions of our media have actively engaged in reporting that has little purpose other than to aid and abet our enemy. The head of CNN tells the world that U.S. soldiers are targeting journalists. Newsweek says U.S. Soldiers are desecrating Korans.

There is no point to these articles other than to incite our enemies against us. I fully realize that the object of our media's enmity is George Bush...but that is no excuse. These people should be imprisoned.

On Getting Rid of the UN:

My most fervent hope is that you are correct, that the U.N is indeed on its last legs. But we still need to give it a push.

There is but one hope for the individual on this earth: the U.S. With the possible exception of Costa Rica, there is no other sovereign entity on earth dedicated to the preservation of private property rights, without which liberty is simply impossible. The U.N. is EXPLICITLY dedicated to the eradication of private property. This makes it the enemy of the U.S., and it makes it my enemy.

<...> On "They Hate Us":

Throwing out the illegals and slapping the tarriffs on China should drive the market wage up to $10 with no other actions.

I don't care if we're hated, and I certainly don't care why. We have an economic system which, while damaged by decades of socialist initiatives, is still strong enough to meet all the needs of its own citizens, even assuming zero international trade. I'm supposed to lose sleep over the fact that the French think us uncouth? When they begin taking regular showers, I'll take their opinions under advisement. Until then, they can kiss my derriere.

Most Americans I know just want not to be dictated to. We realize the rest of the world doesn't like us much....and we wear their disdain as a badge of honor.
