[lbo-talk] video camera recommendations???

I need to purchase a video camera to film dance sequences in a studio 
and on stage (in a dark auditorium).

I am looking to spend about $1000, unless you tell me that spending more 
will make a big difference.
I need recommendations/advice about what to buy, what questions to ask, 
etc.

Please write me off list if you can help.
