Yes, conceivably the bombs could have been a protest about, say, cutbacks in British national healthcare that will now result in a prolonged stretch of two years between dental exams. I, however, will continue to put my money on Iraq as the cause. I would be very surprised to learn that these bombers were not extremely upset by US/UK slaughter and abuse of Iraqis. Whatever other resentments were packed into the suicide bombers' skulls, Iraq was surely the detonator cap that set off last week's London blasts.
