This is simply false. Right after 9/11 the Wall Street Journal ran a series of articles about how even WSJ readers (lawyers, bankers, etc.) in the Middle East supported the announced goals of AQ (ending the sanctions against Iraq, the oppression of the Palestinians, and US support for oppressive governments in the Gulf) while they condemned AQ's murderous actions. --CGE
