After the bodyslam of the French-Dutch tag-team take-down of the
neoliberal constitution, comes the shockwave of Central European
mobilization: the PDS and the alternative German Left, the progressive
unions and the various social justice movements, have finally done what
had to be done -- dumped the sadly neoliberalized SPD, a shadow of what it
once was, and created a fifth party, called (what else?) the Left Party.
They're already polling 10% of the electorate:
