I've been waiting for this one to come out for a while. I love Ali. I've got a picture on my wall of him standing over Sonny Liston in their second fight. First minute, first round. Another good book on Ali is Redemption Song by Mike Marqusee. It was published by Verso a few years ago. There's good history of the importance of black heavyweights in black America, a lot of good stuff about Ali and Malcolm X, and a compare/contrast exercise with Ali and Bob Dylan. I think the director of the Ali movie with Will Smith drew heavily from this book.
