Do you suppose the victim ran from the police because he had a warrant for an unpaid bike ticket... or pot?
That happens ALL the time... Everywhere... To every cop.
Maybe he never finished his DUI sentencing requirements, and now was a really bad time to spend a weekend in jail.
Just run for it... Problem solved. One less "criminal"(tic)
