China has been a close ally of the US for nearly 30 years. There is no China threat of any kind. China did not liberate even Macao for 50 years. That it is likely challenge the US and its allies in Asia (Japan, Thailand & Vietnam)technologically, economically and militarily, is pure phantasy.

While the mode of production in China is capitalist, it formally retains the structure of a typical one party dictatorship. China needs to resolve this contradiction urgently, as the contemporary Chinese state is an anachronism.

It would be difficult to imagine more vulnerable state than today's China given China's dependence on the world economy, its primitive form of state and threats to its national unity.

Non-existent China threat seems to be a favourite theme for the US Right and US Left.:)
