Indeed.
For the demographic details, see <http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/hlthins/hlthin03/hi03t5.pdf>. 24% of those with incomes under $25,000 were uninsured throughout 2003; 8% of those with incomes above $75,000. For the entire pop, the average was 16%. For year-round, full-time workers, it was 17%. There's nothing like it anywhere else in the rich world.
