Sure, the bookstore I volunteer at has a number of book for children.
One example, I know lots of non class conscious folks who like "The
Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge". Few of them
probably know Lynd Ward was the artist. Lynd Ward, inspired in his
style and subject by artists such as Frans Masereel, drew wood
engravings through the Depression depicting scenes such as labor in
conflict with capital. Some of the essence of Ward must have made it
into his children's book for people to still be looking for it over
sixty years later.
