So I went to see 'The Power of Nightmares' last night at the Roxie in SF. Interestingly, while the documentary did not interrogate the official story of 9-11, it did a pretty good job of demolishing the myth of 'Al Qaeda' and the exposing the concomitant fakeness of the 'war on terror'. So without actually attacking the official story, it indirectly gutted the official because a key theme of the official story is that the 19 hijackers were part of vast, global islamist conspiracy - if there is no vast global Islamist conspiracy then who provided the criminal infrastruture that effectuated the 9-11 attacks? The documentry leaves this question begging which is probably why it has received favorable reviews on the left and avoided the wrath of the 'conspiracy theory' tar and feather brigade.
