Neither is stupidity. We were talking about something else, whether Gitmo was comparable to the Gulags. Iy's not. It's vile and evil and a vbetrayal of AMerucan bourgeois democratic rights that are worth fighting for and needs to be fought RIGHT NOw. But it's not on the the scale of the Gulag (at least 25 million victims, I don't meant dead, just imprisoned or killed), and most importantly, the Gulag is OVER. Has been since Khrushchev, pretty much. Unless you want to protest the conditions in Russian prisons, which are almost certianly sucky.
No one advocates silence about US imperialism, it's just not the topic here. Or to the extent that it, Luke and i were discussing how to fight its crimes as revealed at Gitmo. So what's you're problem?
