The freshly released iTunes 4.9, for Mac & Windows, has built-in podcasting support.

Yes, it's a nice tool but I've noticed an anomaly.
IPodder, when I subscribed to the LBO podcast, gave me the following:
Behind The News - 6/23/05 BTN - 6/9/05 BTN, CBGB Segment - 5/26/05 BTN, Taxi! Segment - 5/26/05 BTN - 5/5/05
iTunes, on the other hand, only downloaded BTN 6/23/05; the most recent file.
It did so even though the Podcast settings (from the iTunes interface: edit - preferences - Podcasts - "When New Episodes Are Available" - download all) was configured to retrieve every episode on offer via the feed.
So, unless I'm missing a trick or three (very possible) it appears iTunes doesn't play entirely nice with your podcast.
