I thought Davis's mentioning that Soros "lives in New York" as an obviously negative attribute was a little screwy. "He's a felon, a druggie, hates the president AND he lives in Gemorrah to boot; nope, can't have this guy owning a baseball team." Spoken like a true yahoo.

[from ABC's The Note]

"We finally got a winning team. Now they're going to hand it over to a convicted felon who wants to legalize drugs and who lives in New York and spent $5 million trying to defeat the president? How's he going to get him out to the opening game?" - Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA) on George Soros's bid for the Nats, in the New York Times <http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/30/politics/30nats.html> (Note that Soros is appealing his conviction for insider trading in France.)
