Certainly not here in South Africa; and probably not in the other countries which got out from under the Northern thumb to start ISI. In SA, the ratio of black workers' wages to whites' income rose by the highest rate ever, during the 1930s/40s, when trade and finance were deglobalizing, and the manufacturing base was rapidly expanding, thanks to y'all's depression and war. Northern crisis? Southern prosperity, thanks.
