hrm. Some of the anarchists around the SF Bay area are being sectarian this year. The annual bookfair is quite crowded so it wouldn't suffer for anyone not showing up, particularly this year when the W.C. has been scheduled as a speaker several months in advance. Only a couple people at Free Republic picked up on that and were suggesting very impractical ways of attacking it, like flying airplanes over the event, but I figure that the story hasn't lost steam yet (in contrast to other stories about really offensive people where it has fallen off the radar within a couple of days) the media and then perhaps some protest Warriors will pick up on it next week, but the dynamic of their interaction with 3000 book fans will be unpredictable. When John Zer zan spoke, there were hardly any challenging questions from the audience. Protest Warriors who just have signs and aren't driving big trucks around downtown SF during a protest aren't so scary, and sometimes people infiltrate them and act especially zany, but the bookfair is going to let the Girls' Army and a queer Dojo do security for speakers. Anyway, this other rival group is calling the bookfair left anarchist and is setting up rival events at the same time as the fair and Cafe night fundraiser with antiworkerist, antileft Bob Black- who is sort of irritating.
