Also in reply to Dennis, I don't think a bay of pigs is what they have in mind. In any case the Migs wont get off the ground. But more important I don't think the US will allow Chavez to keep the migs because it would effectively give him too much power in the region. Perhaps Chavez intends to resell some of the Migs to Cuba which is something the Russians would not want to do directly. Anyway it is a interesting cash of arms. I just hope Chavez is up to something clever but not too clever.
