I find it hard to believe that for somebody who follows the sectarian left closely that you are so uncritical of ANSWER. Most anti-war activists hate ANSWER if they even know who they are. ANSWER is run by leaders who have a track record of sabotaging movements.
Or just take a look at their strategy. Nothing but national marches on Washington and big demos in San Francisco. I've been to their events on both coasts. They may have lots of numbers--when they aren't busy inflating the turnout--but they haven't accomplished ANYTHING. Not even a shift in the public's opposition to the war. Even if ANSWER was run by non-sectarian leftists, it would still be a bad organization based on its lack of strategy.
The inability of my comrades to see these things is one of theose things that causes the optimistic person to lose hope.
