Why any less so than washing tupperware?  Just because we've been 
programmed to think ziplocks are disposables, doesn't mean we need to 
treat them that way.  They are cheaper and use less material for 
production, shipping, and packaging than tupperware or other plastics 
and last a very long time if treated well.
