Seoul exports first products made in industrial park in DPRK
About US$57,000 worth of kitchenware made in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) by a South Korean firm was shipped to Mexico on Tuesday, the first overseas shipment of products made in a joint venture between the two Korean states.
The Incheon-based firm is one of 15 South Korean garment and other labor-intensive businesses the Seoul government has authorized to open shop at an industrial complex being built by South Korea at the DPRK's border city of Kaesong.
The complex is intended as a win-win venture for both sides.
