Delhi Metro Rail Corp, which is building the capital's rapid rail network, is likely to extend its consultancy service to Syria and Sri Lanka, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Tuesday.
But the corporation had no plans to take up construction contracts abroad, he told the Lok Sabha.
"Proposals to take up consultancy work for preparation of detailed project reports for Damascus (Syria) and Colombo (Sri Lanka) have been under discussion with the concerned authorities," Azad said in a written reply.
