You misunderstand my point. (Additionally, some people can't recognize a tongue-in-cheek comment when they see it. But oh well.) The operative word in my original post was IF, as in "if slapping such fools upside the head would get them to stop being so dumb, I would definitely do it."
So what I meant to say is: if it were possible to "beat the stupid out" of the Lumpen, I would do it. But it isn't. So what's the point?
