I think some of it has to do with our troops feeling disempowered. Some of it has to do with American activists and their comfort zones. Much of it has to do with the agenda of the major coalitions. There is anti-war activism happening out there, because people will organize without UFPJ telling them when and where to protest. There also seems to be an irrational amount of paranoia that American activists are being repressed. I also think that the younger generation, which got caught up in the anti-globalization movement is focused on young people stuff like college, first jobs, having babies, and so on.
