   Nash, a leftish historian, supporter of the Angela Davis support
comm. in the early 70's, was regarded by some parents in the Berkeley
public schools, insufficiently radical, even racist, when his
multicultural textbook was adopted by the district in the 80's.A book
that would have burned in the  Kanawha County Textbook struggle in
West Virginia in the late 70's as a, "New World Order, Atheist,
Communistic, " indoctrination text.
