yeah, y'all should get over it. the beauty of this list is the beautiful people on it -- in all their variety.
pug was upset because Doug called him a State Dept. Socialist. I don't even know what that means, but I don't blame him for being upset. He's also upset because he feels that people are shutting down internal criticism of the left, in the name of sticking together. While some folks have claimed that righties stick together through thick and thin, IME, they do not. Not righties on _our_ level. They disagree, bicker, attack each other etc. to the same degree that lefties do -- even in forums where there are outsiders to observe them doing so. If you're talking the movers and shakers among the rightwing, well I guess I'd disagree too. And, even if they did present a united front and never ate each other for lunch, comparing this group -- and e-mail list--to the movers and shakers is a little odd.
I'm glad that others piped up to say that wanted Michael back.
