So the battle over judicial nomination is over without a single shot being fired. Not only the Bush administration not got what it wanted, but the Democrats handed the victory without a fight. I am bit surprised that nobody on this list even noticed that momentous event, focusing instead on the significance of communism and anarchism in the battles of yesteryear.

And a momentous event it is. It makes the irrelevance of the Democratic party plainly visible. In the years to come, it will play the role of a minor opposition faction and a GOP junior partner for window dressing purposes, to maintain a democratic façade of the US state.

Thus, the plain god-fearing folk of this land reached their heart's ideal: no political bickering, mud slinging and confusing debates, no alien ideas and agitation, no political uncertainty or confusion, everything now made plain and homey - Ein volk, ein Partei, ein Fuehrer.
