Yes, they probably need to be addressed, but that is of less political importance than one might think. Such information impresses only those who have some more immediate reason to want or need to be impressed by it. At a time when I had been opposing the Vietnam War for well over a year I _still_ thought that the Korean War had been legitimate. Someone at the time might have thought that the issues of the Korean War needed to be addressed, but only after becoming more fully involved in opposing the Vietnam War was I at all prepared to respond to such a critique.
Yes, fuck these guys, but turn your attention elsewhere to working out how we can get people involved in opposing the Occupation of Iraq; later on they will be glad to hear what we have to say about Vietnam.
