And there are serious problems with this body as well, such as a lack of transparency in what MEPs are saying and doing in debates and votes. Plus the fact that there are simply too few MEPs per people (in Ireland I think it's one MEP for every 300,000, as opposed to the national parliament where there is one TD for every 20,000 to 30,000, and it's even worse for some of the larger countries). It's far too remote from the electorate.
