Funny guy...
I still spend some quality time with my mind occasionally trying to fathom why... after all those years of working for us, UBL, and others... turned... My favorite fantasy at the moment is that the CIA had promised these guys nuclear weapons in return for doing a bunch of truly nasty business for us and when it became obvious that we were more interested in dealing with AQ Khan, Pakistan... Malaysia... and they were never gonna have their "yellowcake"...
Ahhh, you could apply that reasoning to Saddam Husein... The "Inhumane Dictator"[tm], as well.
My second favorite, is PlameGate [tm], with the SOLE the reason for the "outing" being a diversion from the Mafia's nuclear smuggling racket.
(They DO LIKE easily transportable high profit margin powders...)
