The president of civilian border patrol group demanded NBC pull an episode of Law & Order scheduled to air Wednesday night, titled "New York Minute," saying it accuses the Minutemen of murder.
Chris Simcox, president of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, Inc., said in a statement that he has not received a response to a letter faxed to the office of NBC executive Jeffrey Zucker Wednesday morning. Previews for the episode mentioned 12 migrants "cooked alive in a boiling hot truck," and ask "was it murder, or Minutemen protecting our borders?," according to Simcox.
"It is outrageous and unacceptable that NBC is using November sweeps to pump up its ratings and profits by smearing the Minutemen as murderers...," Simcox said in the statement.
The network could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.
