this could fill some of your day to watch. I haven't come to a conclusion yet. these Stanford students with the digital video editing equipment weren't able to refrain from a list of racist jokes, in a movie they made to fuel the football rivalry with UC Berkeley, even though they seem like they would have been capable of making a funny film inside this dirty fraternity eve if they had kept the sound off. but every time a black or perceived-latino student walks through, it seems to elicit a race-based crack. Most of the students in the house are entirely acceptable, but it's interesting to watch. http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/ci_3226415

They just raised the grad school tuition to $9500/month, which has to hurt the humanities/social sciences with 6-7 yr normative time. The school needs them to teach and gives a tuition benefit, but often there will be positions for 40-60% of students - so it is significantly more expensive than the $4000 tuition of 2002. chp
