This one uses three options on approval and disapproval, plus a "mixed feelings" option in the middle.
The most interesting result was that Bush held onto slightly higher "strong approval" in this version (21%), but even with three versions of disapproval, 39% of the population said they "strongly disapprove" of Bush.
Bush has a really large chunk of the population hating him and it doesn't look likely to change. Which could make the next mid-term elections if they decide the only way to punish him is to hit Congress.

Good point. It's bad polling practice to offer an even number of choices on a question like this, since it doesn't allow for a middle ground. Other polls have "mixed" or "unsure" or both as options.
Someone on AAPORnet says Rasmussen is a Republican house with no real polling background.
