A friend from LA just told me a weather fact which, although far less destructive than Category 5 Hurricanes or Minnesotan tornados, seemed to have even more a "snowball in hell" quality about it: last year Los Angeles got more rain than Seattle.
And yes, I've googled it, and it is true. And yes, I've learned Seattle doesn't rank as high on the rainfall charts as its reputation. But still.
